GHSA AAAAA State Cross Country Meet Hosted by Carrollton High School

The Ware Co. Gators runners ran at the GHSA AAAAA state XC meet hosted by Carrollton HS on Thursday 11/3/17.  The Gator boys team finished 29^th out of 32 teams and the girls finished 28^th out of 30 teams with each team picking up 2 spots from last season’s showing at the state meet.  The boys race hosted 226 runners and the girls race hosted 204 runners, the best in GA AAAAA classification.  The top 5 boys scoring for the Gators were Logan Millard (sr) finishing 64^th with a time of 18:29, Matthew Hamilton (sr) finishing 163^rd with a time of 19:56, Colby Walker (fr) finishing 185^th with a time of 20:26, Dakota Walker (so) finishing 200^th with a time of 20:59, and Bruce Altman (so) finishing 204^th with a time of 21:11.  Also running for the boys were Ethan Frye (so) and Brandon Foster (sr).  For the Gator girls, the top 5 scorers were Kaylah Youngblood (so) finishing 141^st with a time of 25:06, Maree Harris (jr) finishing 148^th with a time of 25:23, Hannah Boggan (so) finishing 153^rd with a time of 25:31, Aaliyah Sandiford (so) finishing 157^th with a time of 25:40, and Bailey Moore (fr) finishing 166^th with a time of 26:02.  Also running for the girls were Anne Lin (so) and Mia Sandiford (so).  The Gator runners would like to thank Mr. Smith, Coach Shields, Mrs. Merck, and the whole Gator family for your support this season!  Go Gators!
