Ware Co. Cross Country Results @ Jeff-Davis 9/29/16

The Gator cross country teams competed at Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center in Jeff-Davis.  The boys team placed 7^th out of 14 teams and the girls placed 6^th out of 12 teams.  The varsity boys team competed amongst 112 total runners.  The top 5 boys were Matthew Hamilton (jr.) placing 15^th with a time of 19:56, Logan Millard (jr.) placing 17^th with a time of 19:58, Austin Bachhofer (sr.) placing 40^th with a time of 20:58, Andrew Mitcham (so.) placing 46^th with a time of 21:06, and Alec Jones (sr.)placing 53^rd with a time of 21:18.  The girls varsity team competed amongst 87 runners.  The top 5 girls were Shanya Washington (sr.) placing 10^th with a time of 24:30, Kayla Youngblood (fr.) placing 29^th with a time of 27:09, Hannah Boggan (fr.) placing 33^rd with a time of 27:09, Meleah Morton (so.) placing 37^th with a time of 27:52, and Anne Lin (fr.) placing 48^th with a time of 28:54.  A notable JV performance was freshman Ethan Frye placing 3^rd out of 110 with a time of 20:53.  The Gators will run next Tuesday at Wayne co.  Varsity will begin at 4:30.  Team results are listed below:

The Gator cross country competed at Coffee Co. Tuesday with the boys placing 2^nd of 5 teams and the girls placing 3^rd.  The top 5 boys were Logan Millard (jr.) placing 4^th with a time of 19:02, Matthew Hamilton (jr.) placing 7^th with a time of 19:22, Austin Bachhofer (sr.) placing 14^th with a time of 19:46, Andrew Mitcham (so.) placing 16^th with a time of 20:17, and Brandon Foster (jr.) placing 19^th with a time of 20:24.  The girls top 5 were Shanya Washington (sr.) placing 2^nd with a time of 22:46, Kayla Youngblood (fr.) placing 10^th with a time of 25:47, Aaliyah Sandiford (fr.) placing 11^th with a time of 26:15, Hannah Boggan (fr.) placing 12^th with a time of 26:25, and Sara Hitt (sr.) placing 24^th with a time of 28:10.  The gators will be running at Jeff-Davis this Thursday 9/29.  The team placements are listed below.

The Gator XC teams competed Thursday at Wayne County with the boys team finishing 7^th of 10 teams and the girls team finishing 6^th of 9 teams.  The top 5 boys runners were Logan Millard (11^th grade) finishing 25^th with a time of 19:23, Matt Hamilton (11^th grade) finishing 36^th with a time of 19:51, Austin Bachhofer (12^th grade) finishing 37^th with a time of19:56, Andrew Mitcham (10^th grade) finishing 43^rd with a time of 20:04 and Blaine Aldridge (11^th grade) finishing 44^th with a time of 20:05.  The top 5 girls runners were Shanya Washington (12^th grade) finishing 10^th with a time of 23:13, Hannah Boggan (9^th grade) finishing 32^nd with a time of 25:36, Kayla Youngblood (9^th grade) finishing 37^th with a time of 25:43, Ashley Spence (10^th grade) finishing 40^th with a time of 26:13, and Meleah Morton (10^th grade) finishing 47^th with a time of 26:45.  The Gators will be competing again next Tuesday 9/27/16 at Coffee Co.  Varsity competition will begin at 4:30.  Team results are listed below:

A great day in the swamp!

The Gator cross country teams hosted 6 schools this Thursday and had a great showing at their first home meet.  The Gator boys placed first out of the 7 teams participating and the Gator girls placed 2nd out of 7.  There were 131 boys running in the event and 59 girls.  The top 5 boys were Matthew Hamilton (jr.) placing 4th with a time of 18:41, Logan Millard (jr.) placing 5th with a time of 18:42, Brandon Foster (jr.) placing 10th with a time of 19:26, Andrew Mitchah (so.) placing 11th with a time of 19:32, and Austin Bachhofer (sr.) placing 14th with a time of 19:44.  The top 5 Gator girls were Shanya Washington (sr.) placing 4th with a time of 23:08, Hannah Boggan (fr.) placing 6th with a time of 25:15, Kayla Youngblood (fr.)  placing 8th with a time of 26:00, Meleah Morton (so.) placing 11th with a time of 26:40, and Ashley Spence (so.) placing 14th with a time of 26:56.  The Gators will travel back to Wayne Co. next Thursday 9/22/16.  Varsity Boys will begin at 4:30.  Team results are listed below :

Cross Country Results @ Wayne Co. 9/8/16

The Ware Co. Cross Country teams, led by head coach Joe Eichfeld and assistant coach Alvin Nelson, ran in their first meet of the season Thursday afternoon in Wayne Co. The Gators entered teams in both the boys and girls varsity races, as well as the boys and girls mixed JV race.  The Gators finished 7^th out of 15 teams at the event in both the boys varsity run and the girls varsity run.  Each team entered up to 10 runners with the top 5 scoring team points. The gators entered 10 runners in each of the varsity races and filled an additional 16 boys and 7 girls in the JV race for a total of 43 runners in all.  The gator Boys top 5 varsity runners were Logan Millard (11^th grade) finishing 34^th overall with a time of 19:43, Matthew Hamilton (11^th grade) finishing 37^th overall with a time of 19:51, Brandon Foster (11^th grade) finishing 38^th overall with a time of 19:52, Andrew Mitcham (10^th grade) finishing 48^th overall with a time of 20:30, and Austin Bachhofer (12^th grade) finishing 59^th overall with a time of 20:44.  The Girls top 5 varsity runners were Shanya Washington (12^th grade) finishing 24^th overall with a time of 24:08, Kayla Youngblood (9^th grade) finishing 36^th overall with a time of 25:54, Hannah Boggan (9^th grade) finishing 38^th overall with a time of 26:02, Aalyah Sandiford (9^th grade) finishing 47^th overall with a time of 26:40, and Sara Hitt (11^th grade) finishing 57^th overall with a time of 28:10.  The Gators will be hosting 6 teams next Thursday Sept. 15^th including Brantley, Appling, Bacon, Lanier, Pierce, and Echols Counties.
