The Gator runners attended the Jekyll Island Invitational
on Saturday held at the Great Dunes Golf Course on Jekyll Island. The boys varsity race had 224 runners from 26
teams and the girls varsity race had 182 runners from 28 teams.
The Gator boys placed 14th of 26
and the Gator girls placed 18th of 28. The
Boys top 5 were Logan Millard (sr.) placing 30th overall with
a time of 18:02, Matt Hamilton (sr.) placing 66th with a time of
18:57, Ethan Frye (so.) placing 68th with a time of 19:10, Colby
Walker (fr.) placing 125th with a time of 20:10, and Dakota Walker
(so.) placing 127th with a time of 20:13.
Running top 5 for the Girls were Kaylah
Youngblood (so.) finishing 52nd with a time of 24:17, Maree Harris
(jr.) placing 72nd with a time of 25:10, Bailey Moore (fr.) placing
100th with a time of 26:19, Anne Lin finishing 143rd with
a time of 28:14, and Jakaria Kay (jr.) finishing 168 with a time of 32:42.
Also running for the Gator Boys were Brandon
Foster, Bruce Altman, Grayson Smith, Austin Sweat, Kaelyb Dixon, Julian Morfin,
Evan Smoak, Caleb Crawford, Brock Anderson, Quin Adamson, Kobie Turner, Jesus
Hernandez, and Ernique Lockey. The Gator
girl runners included Bianca Luna-Cruz, Madeline Jones, and Gabrielle
Davenport.
The Gators will be travelling
to Wayne Co. on Thursday. Girls will
start at 4:30 pm.
