Ware Co. Cross Country Results 8/23/18

The Gators hosted 7 teams in the Swamp today including Atkinson Co., Bradwell Institute, Brantley Co., Pierce Co., Bacon Co., Lanier Co., and McIntosh Co. Academy in their opening race of the season.  There wer a total of 110 runners in the Boys race and 43 runners in the Girls race for a total of 153 XC athletes trodding in the Swamp.  The Gator Boys finished 3^rd scoring 81 points and the Lady Gators finished in first place scoring 36 points.  The top 5 runners for the Gator Boys team were Byron McKelvin (jr.) placing 2^nd with a time of 18:01, Bruce Altman (jr.) placing 10^th with a time of 20:00, Timothy Musgrove (fr.) placing 17^th with a time of 21:17, Josh Troupe (so.) placing 19^th with a time of 21:22, and Nathan Hale (jr.) placing 33^rd with a time of 22:47.  The top 5 Lady Gators were Maree Harris (sr.) placing 4^th with a time of 23:52, Bailey Moore (so.) placing 5^th with a time of 24:54, Aaliyah Sandiford (jr.) placing 6^th with a time of 25:27, Eason Bennett (fr.) placing 7^th with a time of 26:15, and Anne Lin (jr.) placing 14^th with a time of 28:10.  The Gators will compete next Saturday at the Great Dunes Golf Course in the Jekyll Island Invitational.  The first race begins at 8:00 am.  Complete scores and Gator results are listed below:
