The Gators ran against 4 teams at Camp Patter in Lakeland
GA scoring a first place in the Girls Varsity division and a second place in
the Boys Varsity Division. The teams competing
included Valdosta H.S., Lanier Co., Cook Co., and Echols Co. The Lady Gators scored 31 points defeating
second place Valdosta scoring 37 points (the other team scores are not
available at this time). The top 5
scorers for the girls were Maree Harris (sr.) finishing 2nd with a
time of 24:02, Bailey Moore (so.) finishing 4th with a time of
24:51, Aaliyah Sandiford (jr.) finishing 5th with a time of 25:30,
Anne Lin (jr.) finishing 9th with a time of 27:39, and Eason Bennett
(fr.) with a time of 29:14. The Gator
Boys scored 47 points falling to Valdosta who scored 31 points. The top 5 Gators were Byron McKelvin (jr.)
who won the varsity race with a time of 18:17, Bruce Altman (jr.) finishing 4th
with a time of 20:21, Timothy Musgrove (fr.) finishing 9th with a
time of 21:37, Josh Troupe (so.) finishing 16th with a time of
22:41, and Caleb Crawford (jr.) finishing 17th with a time of
22:55. The Gators will be running at
home next Thursday night and will be honoring our seniors. The senior night ceremony will begin at 4:20
pm. The first race will begin at 4:30
