The Gators hosted 10 teams Thursday including Atkinson C., Coffee Co., Brantley Co., Pierce Co., Bacon Co., Citizens Christian Academy, Liberty Co., Echols Co., and Long Co.
The Gators placed 5th out of these 10 teams running without 3 of their top 7 runners.
The seniors who were honored Thursday were Maree Harris, Ernique Lockey, Jakaria Kay, and Bianca Luna-Cruz. Finishing top 5 for the boys were Byron McKelvin (jr.) winning the race with a time of 17:02 (PR), Bruce Altman (jr.) placing 6th with a time of 18:36, Josh Troupe (so.) placing 22nd with a time of 20:17, Dylan Capps (so.) placing 61st with a time of 22:35, and X-Zavious Butler (so.) placing 62nd with a time of 22:36. There were over 145 boys running in the Boys race. The Girls race was cancelled due to weather.
The Gators are scheduled to run at Webster’s Christmas Tree Farm in Darien Ga next Thursday hosted by MCA.
The first race will begin at 4:30.
