The Ware County cross country teams competed at Wayne Co.
on Thursday 10/15. There were 18 teams
competing in the Boys race with a total of 169 runners and 16 teams running in
the Girls race with a total of 130 runners.
The Gators placed 13th out of 18 and the Lady Gators placed 2nd
of 16 beating all Region competition in the race. The top 5 Boys were Isaac Gaspar (jr.)
placing 26th with a time of 18:25, Josh Troupe (sr.) placing 62nd
with a time of 19:44, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 91st with a time
of 20:55, Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 92nd with a time of 20:58, and
Jon Robertson (so.) placing 97th with a time of 21:06. The Lady Gators are running strong with the
top 5 runners all freshman and sophomores!
Whitney Moore (fr.) placed 10th with a time of 21:52, Keeli
Holloway (fr.) placed 11th with a time of 22:02, Selina Ocadiz (so.)
placed 20th with a time of 23:22, Evie Brown (so.) placed 26th
with a time of 23:51, and Hannah Moore (fr.) placed 27th with a time
of 24:08. Ware County will be off next
week to prepare for the 1-AAAAA region championship to be held at Wayne Co. HS
on Thursday 10/29. The boys will race at
5 PM and the girls will follow. For the
