Bulldog Invitational Toombs Co 9/21/23

 

The Ware Co. cross country teams ran in the Bulldog Invitational on Thursday 9/21/23.  The Gators had a great day winning the grand champion trophy as the Girls team placed 1^st out of 10 teams in the field and the Boys team placing 4^th out of 17 teams in the field.  The grand champion trophy goes to the team with the lowest combined Boys and Girls team scores.  Congrats to the Gator runners!  Running for the Gators were Caleb Wise (10^th grade) placing 5^th with a time of 19:04, Silas Mixon (9^th grade) placing 24^th with a time of 20:10, Jesus Oropeza (12^th grade) placing 32^nd with a time of 20:40, Da’Marion Zanders (10^th grade) placing 33^rd with a time of 20:51, Josh Smith (9^th grade) placing 50^th with a time of 21:34, Hayden Clement (11^th grade) placing 60^th with a time of 22:09, and Zy Ramsey (12^th grade) placing 73^rd with a time of 23:11.  There were a total of 186 runners who finished in the Boys race.  Running for the Lady Gators were Samantha Savinon-Rios (12^th grade) placing 1^st with a time of 20:47, Keeli Holloway (12^th grade) placing 2^nd with a time of 21:28, Whitney Moore (12^th grade) placing 8^th with a time of 23:46, Olivia Sanders (11^th grade) placing 16^th with a time of 25:57, Hannah Moore (12^th grade) placing 20^th with a time of 26:38, Karla Calvillo (9^th grade) placing 21^st with a time of 26:42, and Madison Donlon (10^th grade) placing 22^nd with a time of 26:42.  There were 90 runners in the Girls race.  The Teams will Travel to Tift Area Academy on Saturday to run in the Panther Prowl.  The first race begins at 8:30 AM.
