The Gators hosted 10 teams in the Swamp on Thursday as they celebrated their seniors for the 2020 season.  The Gator seniors include Josh Troupe, Banner Thomas, Martin Brock, Paul Crawford, Carson Rios, and Enoch Wimberly.  The Lady Gator seniors are Brittany Newman, Ashleigh Griffis, and Kendall Moore.  The Lady Gators had a great run placing 2^nd in the 10 team pool and the Gators did well placing 4^th in the 10 team pool.  The Girls race hosted 74 runners across the field.  Scoring for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (fr.) placing 2^nd with a time of 22:42, Evie Brown (so.) placing 6^th with a time of 23:33, Whitney Moore (fr.) placing 7^th with a time of 24:14, Hannah Moore (fr.) placing 11^th with a time of 25:32, and Stella Kallay (fr.) placing 24^th with a time of 27:50.  The Boys race included 105 runners.  Scoring for the Gators were Josh Troupe (sr.) placing 16^th with a time of 19:28, Isaac Gaspar (jr.) placing 19^th with a time of 19:41, Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 23^rd with a time of 20:03, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 28^th with a time of 20:53, and Jon Robertson (so.) placing 40^th with a time of 21:54.  For complete Gator and Lady Gator times see the Race times spreadsheet below.  The Gators will be travelling to Wayne Co. next Thursday 10/1/20.  The first race begins at 4:30.

Southern Georgia XC Championship – Hosted by Jeff Davis HS 9/21/2020

 

The Ware County cross country teams competed in the Southern Georgia XC Championship, hosted by Jeff Davis HS Monday evening, 9/21/2020.  The Gators placed 12^th out of 19 teams and the Lady Gators finished 6^th out of 15 teams besting region rivals Coffee Co. and Wayne Co.  The Boys race hosted 219 runners and the Girls race contained 142 runners.  Scoring for the Gators were Isaac Gaspar (jr.) placing 41^st with a time of 19:34, Josh Troupe (sr.) placing 48^th with a time of 19:44, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 80^th with a time of 20:53, Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 81^st with a time of 20:55, and Jon Robertson (so.) placing 93^rd with a time of 21:23.  Scoring for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (fr.) placing 16^th with a time of 22:43, Whitney Moore (fr.) placing 19^th with a time of 23:07, Evie Brown (so.) placing 36^th with a time of 23:58, Hannah Moore (fr.) placing 43^rd with a time of 25:27, and Stella Kallay (fr.) placing 56^th with a time of 26:22.
