The Ware County cross country teams competed in the Jekyll Island Invitational hosted by Brunswick HS on Saturday 9/5/2020. The race was held at the great Dunes golf course. The Gators placed 10th of 11 teams and the Lady Gators placed 7th out of 10 teams (complete team scores are below). The Boys race hosted 74 runners and the Girls race hosted a total of 66 runners. Scoring for the Gators were Isaac Gaspar (jr.) finishing 35th with a time of 20:15, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 56th with a time of 21:52, Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 57th with a time of 21:52, Jon Robertson (so.) placing 60th with a time of 22:42, and Josh Troupe (sr.) placing 65th with a time of 23:00. Scoring for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (fr.) placing 12th with a time of 24:09, Whitney Moore (fr.) placing 14th with a time of 24:13, Evie Brown (so.) placing 20th with a time of 24:58, Stella Kallay (fr.) placing 50th with a time of 29:03, and Selena Ocadiz (so.) placing 52nd with a time of 29:21. The Gators will travel to Tift Area Academy next Saturday 9/12/20 to run in the Panther Prowl. The first race begins at 9:00 AM.
