The Ware County cross country teams competed in the Panther
Prowl hosted by Tift Area Academy on Saturday 9/12/2020. The Gators placed 3rd out of 11
teams and the Lady Gators finished 1st out of 10 teams with their
top 3 runners taking 1st, 2nd, and 4th place
in the girls varsity race (complete team scores are below). The Boys race hosted 64 runners and the Girls
race hosted a total of 63 runners.
Scoring for the Gators were Josh Troupe (sr.) finishing 7th
with a time of 20:57, Isaac Gaspar (jr.) finishing 8th with a time
of 21:09, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 14th with a time of 22:16,
Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 15th with a time of 22:17 and Anthony
Phillips (jr.) placing 19th with a time of 23:18. Scoring for the Lady Gators were Keeli
Holloway (fr.) winning the girls race with a time of 24:24, Whitney Moore (fr.)
placing 2nd with a time of 24:50, Evie Brown (so.) placing 4th
with a time of 25:32, Hannah Moore (fr.) placing 6th with a time of
27:27, and Brittany Newman (sr.) placing 14th with a time of 29:01. The Gators will travel to Jeff Davis Middle
School Academy next Thursday 9/17/20 to run in South Georgia XC Championship
hosted by Jeff Davis HS. The first race
begins at 5:00 PM.
