Southern Georgia XC Championship – Hosted by Jeff Davis HS 9/21/2020

 

The Ware County cross country teams competed in the Southern Georgia XC Championship, hosted by Jeff Davis HS Monday evening, 9/21/2020.  The Gators placed 12^th out of 19 teams and the Lady Gators finished 6^th out of 15 teams besting region rivals Coffee Co. and Wayne Co.  The Boys race hosted 219 runners and the Girls race contained 142 runners.  Scoring for the Gators were Isaac Gaspar (jr.) placing 41^st with a time of 19:34, Josh Troupe (sr.) placing 48^th with a time of 19:44, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 80^th with a time of 20:53, Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 81^st with a time of 20:55, and Jon Robertson (so.) placing 93^rd with a time of 21:23.  Scoring for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (fr.) placing 16^th with a time of 22:43, Whitney Moore (fr.) placing 19^th with a time of 23:07, Evie Brown (so.) placing 36^th with a time of 23:58, Hannah Moore (fr.) placing 43^rd with a time of 25:27, and Stella Kallay (fr.) placing 56^th with a time of 26:22.

Panther Prowl – Hosted by Tift Area Academy 9/12/2020

 

The Ware County cross country teams competed in the Panther Prowl hosted by Tift Area Academy on Saturday 9/12/2020.  The Gators placed 3^rd out of 11 teams and the Lady Gators finished 1^st out of 10 teams with their top 3 runners taking 1^st, 2^nd, and 4^th place in the girls varsity race (complete team scores are below).  The Boys race hosted 64 runners and the Girls race hosted a total of 63 runners.  Scoring for the Gators were Josh Troupe (sr.) finishing 7^th with a time of 20:57, Isaac Gaspar (jr.) finishing 8^th with a time of 21:09, Jojo Callahan (jr.) placing 14^th with a time of 22:16, Daly Tuten (jr.) placing 15^th with a time of 22:17 and Anthony Phillips (jr.) placing 19^th with a time of 23:18.  Scoring for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (fr.) winning the girls race with a time of 24:24, Whitney Moore (fr.) placing 2^nd with a time of 24:50, Evie Brown (so.) placing 4^th with a time of 25:32, Hannah Moore (fr.) placing 6^th with a time of 27:27, and Brittany Newman (sr.) placing 14^th with a time of 29:01.  The Gators will travel to Jeff Davis Middle School Academy next Thursday 9/17/20 to run in South Georgia XC Championship hosted by Jeff Davis HS.  The first race begins at 5:00 PM.
