First event of the season! @ Wayne Co 8/18/22

The Gator cross country teams competed in the first event of the season at Wayne Co. HS on Thursday 8/18/22.  There were 14 teams represented in the Boys race and with the Gators finishing 12^th and there were 10 teams in the Girls race with the Lady Gators finishing 3^rd.  The competition was fierce!  

The Boys race begat at 5 PM with 189 runners competing in the race.  Running for the Gators were Caleb Wise (9^th) finishing 39^th with a time of 20:04, Kamani Gainer (11^th) finishing 56^th with a time of 20:36, Jon Robertson (12^th) finishing 57^th with a time of 20:44, Landon Hendrix (12^th) finishing 101^st with a time of 22:44, Hayden Clement (10^th) finishing 102^nd with a time of 22:50, Corbett Nettles (10^th) finishing 124^th with a time of 24:19, Landon Nettles (11^th) finishing 140^th with a time of 24:57, and Stephen Valdez (9^th) finishing 179^th with a time of 29:54.  

 

The Girls races hosted 119 runners with some very good competition.  Running for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (11^th) finishing 9^th with a time of 22:23, Samantha Savinon-Rios (11^th) finishing 10^th with a time of 22:24, Selena Ocadiz (12^th) finishing 11^th with a time of 22”31, Evie Brown (12^th) finishing 23^rd with a time of 23:56, Madison Boland (10^th) finishing 42^nd with a time of 26:24, Olivia Sanders (10^th) finishing 62^nd with a time of 28:25, Madison Donlon (9^th) finishing 71^st with a time of 29:22, and Lindsy Moore (10^th) finishing 72^nd with a time of 29:24.  

 

The Ware Co. cross country teams will be hosting their first home event next Thursday 8/25/22.  There will be a total of 10 teams in the event. The Girls race will begin at 4:30.
